I have been working on something so exciting for the past few weeks! It’s not usually the kind of thing that I share on here, but it’s truly something I love doing. This semester, I am working on a project where I practice my design skills by redesigning restaurant menus. I got a taste of this kind of work in a previous group project. I loved working on that so I decided to try it on my own. I also love doing food photography and I will be incorporating that as I can within the menus. So far, I have been doing a lot of rough drafts and compiling ideas and mood boards. Here is a snippet of what that is looking like!
There is no finished product yet to show but trust me, the wait will be worth it! Sketching things out before going into InDesign has helped me to find issues and come up with a more cohesive design. It also prevents me from having to scratch an idea because it’s not working. Below is the first menu that I have chosen to redesign!
Overall, this project is teaching me patience as well as how to work hard and stick with something. I’m so excited to show you all the final products in just a few weeks!
